More than 500 kilometers of quality cross-country ski trails at high altitudes. If the snow conditions are right, they are freshly groomed every day and carefully signposted according to the specifications of the German Ski Association (DSV). Valuable information is provided by a comprehensive Nordic Guide and an elaborate Internet portal. But all this costs a lot of money. And if cross-country ski trails are free of charge, the service costs clubs and local authorities a great deal of money. The majority of the work is done by ski clubs and tourist associations on a voluntary basis. This includes not only the track marking of the trails, but also the setting up of the signs and the maintenance of the machines and trails throughout the year. Nevertheless, the costs remain enormously high, which clubs and municipalities cannot bear alone in the long run. For this reason, the cross-country ski trail operators of the Sauerland and Wittgenstein regions have decided to found an association called Nordicsport-Arena Sauerland e.V..

A membership in our club you get for an amount of 30 €. If you are already a member of a cross-country skiing club in Sauerland or Wittgenstein, which is affiliated to the Nordicsport-Arena Sauerland, you pay only 10 €. You can fill out a membership application on the following page. You will receive your personal membership card. In a further step further exclusive advantages for members of the association are planned. 100% of the membership fees collected by the association will be distributed to the cross-country ski trail operators of the Nordicsport Arena, who will use them for the preservation of our cross-country ski trails. Independently of our association, you can continue to purchase a day ticket at our cross-country ski trail entrances, which will be made available directly to the operator there for the maintenance of the trails !
