Once upon a time and still is: The most beautiful snow gift
In the mountain villages in the Sauerland region, people waited in anticipation for Christmas. ‘Maybe it will snow,’ said the children hopefully, looking up at the sky.
But Father Christmas sighed: ‘I'm not actually responsible for snow. That's Mrs Holle's job.’ The Easter bunny hopped past and grinned: ‘March often has the best snow cover in the ski resorts! Should I bring snow?’ ‘Nonsense!’ shouted Father Christmas. ‘Christmas and snow, it's almost magical. That's how people imagine it and that's what they want right now!’
Together, they climbed into the mountains and asked Father Frost for help. He yawned: ‘You woke me up. I'm usually a bit late.’ ‘But we need you!’ said Father Christmas. The Easter Bunny nodded: ‘A little prelude to the big snow flurry. For the children. Please!’
Then Father Frost blew a strong cold breeze out into the world. A few snowflakes floated to earth. In the ski resorts, the snow guns began to whir, making the flakes dance. The children cheered: ‘Snow, we're getting snow!’ ‘All right,’ muttered the rabbit with a grin, ’we've saved Christmas. But I'm coming too!’ Father Christmas laughed and shouted: ‘Today it's the moment that counts!’
We wish you a wonderful Christmas time and the best snow experiences
